ALEX BAYER
Bassists are very much in demand because almost every line-up needs one, and accordingly, Alex Bayer is able to draw from a wide palette, and he does this at the highest level. His passion is free and contemporary music; music beyond all categories and genres. And for this reason it’s not uncommon to encounter him playing in the most diverse formations on stages across the republic.
In addition to his activities as a sideman, Alex Bayer is also active as a composer and arranger, composing music for his own ensembles and for numerous band projects.
From 2001 to 2006 he studied at the Nuremberg University of Music, where he is also a lecturer. Alex Bayer works with many internationally renowned musicians such as Loren Stillman, Nils Wogram, Bill Elgart, Ronny Graupe, Jim Black and Rudi Mahall.
